Richard Thomas

Richard Thomas CBE was appointed as a member of the Committee on Standards in Public Life on 17 May 2012.

Richard has previously held the roles of Information Commissioner, Trustee of the Whitehall & Industry Group, board member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals, and vice president of the Trading Standards Institute.

About the Committee on Standards in Public Life

The Committee on Standards in Public Life (CSPL) is an independent advisory non-departmental public body that advises the Prime Minister on ethical standards across the whole of public life in the UK. It monitors and reports on issues relating to the standards of conduct of all public office holders.
